Our story
Welcome to YumYard, where our journey is as flavourful as the meals you order. Our story began when we noticed a real gap in food ordering services, especially outside bustling city centres. During the Covid-19 pandemic the challenge became more obvious — if you wanted a takeaway, you were either calling from a paper menu or tediously navigating websites and social media.
Traditional food ordering apps have started to price out smaller local food vendors as costs climb and the focus shifts toward delivery logistics rather than the food itself. Mobile vendors — food trucks, pop-ups, stalls — are hit hardest. They're a vibrant and vital part of our culinary culture, yet they face an uphill battle to stay visible, accessible, and profitable.
At YumYard, we're reshaping that landscape. Our goal is simple: bring the ease, price, and convenience of app-based ordering to local businesses and mobile vendors alike. We don't just help vendors get seen — we let them broadcast their live location so food lovers can find and pre-order from them, wherever they're trading that day.
